ONE-TO-ONE COACHING

I am here with you

I am a Chartered Coaching Psychologist with the British Psychological Society

Where I am coming from

I am one of those people who can only offer to others what I truly believe works for myself. Some of the ways I find most resourcing as I face challenges include seeing my own coach, weaving together the elements of befriending my nervous system, aligning with Celtic wisdom, somatic movement, establishing a rhythm for myself and connecting more in nature. This has now become the basis of my offering to others.

How I work

At the heart of my training is the notion that I am only the ‘tour guide’. I like this notion, who am I to know what is needed by another? Who am I to know what wants to come into the light when we sit together? So the question morphs into “what matters most in serving people who come to work with me?” In answering this question- it is about my intention to create an environment in which you can access your own resources, your own thinking, your own felt sense. I will be here with you.

I see my role as creating safety, comfort and support to you, to invite the elements to wrap around you. I intend to be as present as I can be, holding space, regulating my own system so it can be a resource to you. Actually, making sure I have had my really good cup of coffee that morning :).

My role is to orientate you back towards your resources. If you feel your system starting to get overwhelmed, I will bring you back into your breath or your own somatic strength or talk you through orientating to something in the environment which can remind you of a sense of joy and ease.

I am explicit in my work

I don’t analyse people. I do offer context in the form of frames in an explicit way, narrating frames such as the Celtic calendar, heroine’s journey, hero’s journey, the Celtic spiral and Polyvagal theory for us to explore together. Frames which may offer a larger container to hold a challenging experience, to offer the possibility that you are not alone in your endeavours, to gently invite more self-compassion. To see perhaps that wherever you are, no matter how lost you feel and whatever you are experiencing, is part of the human journey and in some way, is bringing you back to more of who you are. Helping you to re-story and perhaps inviting the peripheral vision to come back online to have more clarity and see more possibilities. Perhaps seeing a new story, seeing the first close in step to take (as David Whyte calls it).

I love to invite people out of the busyness and into the ease of nature. Science is informing us more and more about the power of nature (which we intuitively know in our bones).

I feel so grateful to be able to work out of a beautiful work space, overlooking the ocean, just 30 minutes south of  Dublin. There is something so comforting about lighting the little stove, feeling the sheep skins underfoot and experiencing a sense of holding in this circular, healing space.

yurt offerings

  • 1.5 - 2 hour one-to-one sessions in the yurt and

  • Half-day personal regenerative retreats

One of my favourite things to offer people is to come out the busyness and come into nature for a session in the yurt. I am incredibly grateful to work out of yurt only 30/40 minutes from Dublin, perched up on the mountain overlooking the sea.

It is a very supportive space to work, with the fire lit, a warm cuppa in hand, it can really facilitate your system being able to relax back, and from this pace to perhaps see a new possibility.

I especially love holding half-day personal retreats for people. Extending an invitation to clear the dairy for a half day, drop out the busyness into a little more spaciousness to reconnect with yourself, re-earth and ground yourself and reallign with your true north. Taking time to reflect and to come into a stronger sense of congruence of self. Restoring a sense of ease and perhaps hear the whispers of what wants more life within you.

Where:

These retreats take place in the yurt (between Bray and Greystones) in beautiful Gorsehill.

Distance coaching

I also offer coaching over zoom which can work so well for people, without the need to travel and being able to do it from the comfort of your own home. The choice is yours.

Corporate coaching

I sit on several corporate coaching panels and work with people to help them crack the performance paradox

Although I have permission to use people’s names I have chosen not to in order to protect the sacredness of the work

"I recently signed up for a personal retreat session with Kerry with the intention of accessing more resources to deal with the challenges of life.

The last year has had me in a place of constant hypervigilance and has left me in a state of increased anxiety that has been very hard to manage.

Kerry offers a haven of ease and compassion but with a warmth and confidence in your ability to stand strong and grounded despite the storms of life. Her presence is so healing but although she is essential she is not the main act. It’s as though she guides you to find the wisdom within your DNA and step more fully into your power. – She channels a wider wisdom and that is so different to any other coaching experience I have ever had.

Our location was in a beautiful setting in a yurt by the sea, a fire lighting, sheepskin seating  -no corporate G models or business objectives on the agenda –just a stronger more serene me.  We worked in a very elemental way using the power of nature, - earth wind and water. In both metaphor and reality.

There was a deep-guided visualization bringing me home to my own resources, gifting me with an n extraordinary sense of strength coming from the universe to me.

Honestly I would consider myself to be open minded and although I appreciate there is so much we humans don't understand I also have a healthy scepticism for so called Spiritual experiences. There is no other word to describe my session with Kerry other than spiritual.

I experienced a deep peace and the beginning of recovery in that special space.

I could not recommend a session with Kerry more highly.

I trust her abilities and special gifts. She is a healer of the spirit but wears it lightly, only ever walking alongside you not leading or pushing where you are choosing not to go."

“Kerry guided me through a deeply profound process I can only describe as heart warming and soul opening. Everything from the welcome to the environment and most importantly Kerry’s sensitivity, provided me with the space to explore in depth my own inner workings. I was literally speechless afterwards; at the same time I felt a sense of stability and certainty about my identity and intentions. Since then I'm experiencing a gentle sense of self confidence and determination. This was a unique experience of the kind that is rare to come by, Thank you Kerry"
